Creating a Fun and Intelligent Brand Identity
For this project, I designed a logo for “Cogito,” a company specializing in creating logical games for kids. The name “Cogito” is derived from the famous philosophical phrase “cogito ergo sum” (“I think, therefore I am”), reflecting the company’s mission to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills in children through fun and engaging games.
Project Highlights:
- Concept Development: The concept for the logo was to blend elements of fun and intelligence, making it appealing to both children and their parents. The design needed to reflect the playful nature of the games while emphasizing their educational value.
- Logo Design: The logo features a friendly, playful character that incorporates the letters of the brand name “Cogito.” The character’s expressive eyes and bright colors convey a sense of curiosity and excitement, inviting kids to explore and think.
- Color Palette: Chose a vibrant and energetic color palette with a bright green background to attract the attention of children and make the brand stand out.
- Typography: Used a playful and rounded font to create a friendly and approachable look. The integration of the character’s eyes into the letters adds a unique and memorable touch to the logo.
- Tagline: Added the tagline “Think Fun” to encapsulate the brand’s philosophy of combining thinking and play. The tagline reinforces the message that learning and fun go hand in hand with Cogito’s games.
Result:
The final logo successfully captures the essence of “Cogito” – a brand that makes learning fun and engaging for children. The playful design, bright colors, and clever integration of the brand name create a memorable and appealing identity that resonates with the target audience. This project highlights my ability to combine creativity with strategic thinking to create a logo that effectively communicates the brand’s values and mission.
