“Souls” – dating app UI/UX design

01. The Challenge

“Souls” needed a distinctive and harmonious brand identity that would appeal to users seeking meaningful connections. The challenge was to design a logo and user interface that reflect the app’s purpose of connecting people based on shared interests and personal compatibility.

02. The Solution

Logo Design

The logo was designed to convey ideas of harmony and duality. The round shape hints at the human soul, representing our inner essence and uniqueness. The dot positioned to the side creates a yin-yang motif, symbolizing the balance between opposing and complementary forces. This reflects the app’s goal of connecting people based on mutual interests and personal compatibility. The whole shape is trying to catch the general idea of location icon to show refer to the “looking around” feature. The flowing and circular shape radiates a sense of energy and connection, while the clean lines provide a modern and pleasant appearance.

Initial Sketches

I began with low-fidelity sketches to conceptualize the initial ideas.

Wireframes and Mockups

Following this, I created higher-fidelity wireframes and moved on to mockups using the Figma platform.

Animations and Interactions

I developed tailored animations and interactions to ensure a smooth and pleasant user experience. Building and Illustrating

the Solution

After finalizing the architecture, I started working on the actual user interface. I prefer beginning with low-fidelity sketches before moving on to high-fidelity wireframes and detailed mockups in Figma.

03. The Result

The final result was a cohesive and attractive brand identity for “Souls,” successfully conveying the app’s mission of fostering meaningful personal connections. The intuitive and visually appealing user interface has resonated well with users, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience. The harmonious and modern design has helped position “Souls” as a leading app in the personal relationship management space.
